General:

 

Permission was granted to Trainer Sk. Kassam to saddle the following horses on behalf of Trainer K.V.Srinivas at both Trainers risk and liability:

 

Race No. 1 – Horse No. 2 – INDIAN ARMY (A. RAMANA)

Race No. 2 – Horse No. 6 – SHIVAJI (A. RAMANA)

Race No. 3 – Horse No. 1 – AMONTILLADO (R. LAXMIKANTH)

Race No. 3 – Horse No. 8 – EXECUTE (A. RAMANA)

Race No. 5 – Horse No. 9 – HOSPITALITY (A. RAMANA)

Race No. 5 – Horse No. 11 – MADHO (R. LAXMIKANTH)

Race No. 8 – Horse No. 6 –  BUNDLE OF ROSES (R. LAXMIKANTH)

Race No. 9 – Horse No. 6 – PARINEETA (A. RAMANA)

Race No. 9 – Horse No. 9 – OCEAN CITY (R. LAXMIKANTH)

 

1st Race – (56) The Fire Haven Plate (about) 1600 metres – Category II:

          Jockey N.M. Sequeira (SAHEBZADI) fined Rs. 1,000/- for veering out for no apparent reason at about 300 metres in the process bumping ENCOUNTER (HARISH).

 

2nd Race – (57) The Kurnool Plate (about) 1800 metres – Category III:

          Jockey A. Ramana (SHIVAJI) severely cautioned for shifting out approaching the 1200 metres taking the ground of CHEETAH HE JEETHA (HARISH).

          Explanation of Jockey Harish (CHEETAH HE JEETHA) that his mount who had stumbled soon after the start had thereafter raced erratic in the initial stages of the race taking the ground of SHES GOT THE LOOK (P.S. CHOUHAN), noted.

 

3rd Race – (58) The Zoom Zoom Plate Div. I (about) 1400 metres – Category III:

          AMONTILLADO (R.LAXMIKANTH) refused to be stalled inspite of all efforts was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter’s Orders. SSC revoked.

          GREATBALLOFCHINA (APP. R. UMESH) and YOUNG TALENT (S. SHOBAN BABU) slow out losing about 2 to 3 lengths each.

          Jockey D. Gnaneshwar (NANO WAR) fined Rs. 1,000/- for coming in at about 200 metres onto BENAZIR (M.F. ALI KHAN) who shifted in taking the ground of MAN ON FIRE (SK. SHAROOKH).

          YOUNG TALENT (S. SHOBAN BABU) trailed the field and finished the course a distance behind.  Trainer Sk. Kassam was advised to ensure that his charge is capable of a better performance before next acceptance.

 

 4th Race – (59) The Ongole Plate Div. II (about) 1200 metres – Category II:

          Jockey K. Ganesh (OPULENCE) cautioned to be more vigorous in his efforts throughout the race.

          TRUE FORCE (G.B. KHADE) and TRUE FASHION (SK. SHAROOKH) were forced to be checked soon after the start due to the crowding of the field in front.

          MAANUSH (S. SHOBAN BABU) marginally slow into stride losing about a length or two. However the Jockey was cautioned for drifting out in the final straight though no interference was caused.

 

5th Race – (60) The Singh Plate Div. I (about) 1200 metres – Category III:

          STROKE OF LUCK (HARISH) took a fly jump losing about 4 to 5 lengths. SSC revoked.  Trainer T. Srinagesh was advised to show his charge in a mock race before next acceptance.

6th Race – (61) The Nawab Khaja Moinuddin Khan Memorial Cup (about) 1400 metres – Category II:

          Jockey Laxman (SMART EMPIRE) cautioned for the tender handling of his mount throughout the race.

 

7th Race – (62) The Ongole Plate Div. I (about) 1200 metres – Category II:

          Jockey M.F. Ali Khan (TOOFAN EXPRESS) severely cautioned for allowing his mount to drift out 8 to 9 horses wide in the last 300 metres in the process losing considerable ground.

          Explanation of Jockey Sk. Farookh (SPEED MOTIVE) that his mount threw her head up soon after the start in the process losing about 2 to 3 lengths, noted.

          Jockey N.M. Sequeira (HUNTING BAY) severely cautioned for shifting in soon after the start causing a mild check to TOOFAN EXPRESS (M.F. ALI KHAN).

          Explanation of Trainer S.S.F. Hassan that his instructions to Jockey S. Shoban Babu (AL ZAHARA) were to go to the front but inspite of the Jockeys efforts could not go to the front and he further stated that unless she goes to the front she does not run well noted for future reference.

 

8th Race – (63) The Singh Plate Div. II (about) 1200 metres – Category III:

          AMAZING CONQUEST (APP. R. UMESH) reared up as the start was given losing about 2 to 3 lengths.  Trainer Zoheb Shaikh was advised to show his charge at the gates before next acceptance.

          QUEEN OF MELODY (P.S. CHOUHAN) and CLARE BRIDGE (S. SHOBAN BABU) slow out losing about 2 to 3 lengths each.  Trainers S.A. Shehzad Abbas and S.S.F. Hassan were advised to show their charges at the gates before next acceptance.

          Explanation of Jockey Laxman (GREY SHOT) that his mount did not respond to his urgings at any stage of the race was not accepted.  However, he was informed that should there be any reversal of form he would be liable to disciplinary action.

 

9th Race – (64) The Zoom Zoom Plate Div. II (about) 1400 metres – Category III:

          PARINEETA (A. RAMANA) slow out losing about 3 to 4 lengths. SSC revoked.

          PRIVATE DANCER (S. SREEKANT) was slow into stride losing about 1 or 2 lengths.  However, Jockey S. Sreekant was cautioned to be more vigorous in his efforts in the initial stages of the race to be well up with the field.
