PRESS RELEASE

General:

Permission was granted to Trainer Zoheb Shaikh to saddle the following horses on behalf of Trainer Shamshuddin at both Trainers risk and liability:

Race No. 3 – Horse No. 4 – SPLENDID SHOW (SK. FAROOKH)

Race No. 8 – Horse No.11 – STANDING OVATION (R. UMESH)

1^st Race – (1) The Welcome Plate Div. I (about) 1100 metres – Category II:

Jockeys R. Rupesh (SPLENDID KNOCK) and Aadesh Kumar (CRAVEN COTTAGE) reported that their mounts were running green throughout the race.

INTREPID WARRIOR (P. UDAY KIRAN) was tightened for room soon after the start.

Jockey N. Rawal (PLUTO QUEEN) cautioned for shifting in at about the 600 metres taking the ground of FERRARI CITY (R.B. SHINDE).

2^nd Race – (2) The Nelston Cup (about) 1100 metres – Category III:

CLASSIC DANCER (M. KRISHNA) jumped out awkwardly in the process losing about 1 or 2 lengths. Jockey M. Krishna was, however, cautioned for traveling wide for the greater part of the race for no apparent reason.

App. Kiran Naidu (SET ME FREE) reported that his mount was tending to run out throughout the race in the process drifted out in the straight onto the sand track inspite of his best efforts. Trainer D. Netto was advised to show his charge in a mock race before next acceptance.

Explanation of Jockey B. Mukesh (ART CONNOISSEUR) in the presence of Trainer L.D’Silva that his instructions were to go to the front or sit close with the leaders which he could not follow as his mount was slow into stride inspite of his efforts and in the straight was gradually gaining ground, noted for future reference.

3^rd Race – (3) The Welcome Plate Div. II (about) 1100 metres – Category II:

Explanation of Jockey R. Parmod (SORBITRATE) that his mount wobbled in the final stages of the race under pressure, noted. Trainer J. Silvester was advised to take remedial measures.

Jockey Aadesh Kumar (THEATRE OF DREAMS) cautioned for shifting in and tightening CHAYANANDAN (P.S. CHOUHAN) at about the 700 metres.

FINE RACER (N. RAWAL) and ZIGLAR (R. UMESH) jumped out awkwardly towards inside and outside respectively in the process causing a check to SPLENDID SHOW (SK. FAROOKH) who lost considerable ground.

Jockey Nitin Singh (ASKIOZ) cautioned to make more determined efforts to be well up with the field in the initial stages of the race.

SPELENDID SHOW (SK. FAROOKH) and GREEN GIFT (M.F. ALI KHAN) did not raise a fluent gallop throughout the race inspite of their respective Jockeys efforts. Trainers Zoheb Shaikh, deputizing for Trainer Shamsuddin and S.S.F. Hassan were advised to take remedial measures before next acceptance.

4th Race – (4) The Act In Time Plate Div. II (about) 1200 metres – Category III:

Explanation of Jockey P.S. Chouhan (TIARA) that his mount threw her head up as the start was given in the process lost about 2 to 3 lengths and thereafter did not raise a fluent gallop, noted.

5th Race – (5) The Wandering Star Plate Div. I (about) 1100 metres – Category II:

YIPPEE (APP. KIRAN NAIDU) dwelt and lost about 5 to 6 lengths. SSC revoked.

App. P. Venkat (SPLENDID ACT) severely cautioned for shifting in soon after the start crowding the runners on his inside and causing a check to GREEN MIST (N. RAWAL) and thereafter maintained an erratic course in the final stages of the race taking the ground of LONE RANGER (P.S. CHOUHAN).

Trainer M.V. Narayana Rao was fined a sum of Rs. 2,000/- for failing to exercise sufficient care in the saddling of his charge ONE IN ALL (APP. G. SAI VAMSHI) whose saddle slipped after passing the winning post resulting in App. G. Sai Vamshi losing balance in the saddle and being unseated.

MENLO PARK (CH K CHARY) denied a clear run soon after the start due to the crowding of the field.

6th Race – (6) The Act In Time Plate Div. I (about) 1200 metres – Category III:

Change of rider permitted from Jockey A. Ramana to Jockey N. Rawal on INDIAN ARMY.

Jockey Nitin Singh (CANNON VISION) cautioned for shifting in soon after the start onto AVON GORGE (SK. FAROOKH) who in turn went onto GOLDEN TRICKS (APP. AJIT KUMAR) causing the latter to be checked.

7th Race – (7) The C.R. Bhoopal Memorial Cup (about) 1200 metres – Category II:

CHESTNUT CHARMER (APP. P. VENKAT) and HARI HAR PRIYA (SK. FAROOKH) were denied a clear run soon after the start due to the tightening of the field.

App. P. Venkat (CHESTNUT CHARMER) was severely cautioned to exercise greater control over his mount in that he forced a passage on the rail at about the 800 metres forcing out ONE MISSION (A. IMRAN KHAN) and thereafter shifted out forcing out SUCHIMAN (R. PARMOD).

Jockey R. Umesh (KOHINOOR MYSTIC) cautioned for taking a long lead in the initial stages of the race thereby placing his mount at a disadvantage in the straight.

8th Race – (8) The Wandering Star Plate Div. II (about) 1100 metres – Category II:

Change of rider permitted from Jockey A. Ramana to Jockey M. Krishna on SUPERFLUOUS.

SPLENDID SCOT (APP. KIRAN NAIDU) and LEADING LIGHT (M.F. ALI KHAN) jumped out slowly losing about 2 to 3 lengths each. Trainers D. Netto and L.D’Silva were advised to show their charges at the gates before next acceptance.

Jockey R. Umesh (STANDING OVATION) cautioned for shifting in at about the 600 metres onto SUPERFLUOUS (M. KRISHNA) who in turn shifted in causing a check to PYTHAGORAS (P.S. CHOUHAN) on the rail.

App. B. Dileep (MUSIC VALLEY) severely reprimanded in the presence of Trainer K. Satheesh for failing to ride out his mount to complete advantage in the straight.

Explanation of Jockey G.B. Khade (RUBY CROWN) that his mount did not raise a fluent gallop throughout the race inspite his efforts, noted. Trainer K.S.V. Prasad Raju advised.

9th Race – (9) The Fond Hope Plate (about) 1000 metres – Category III:

Change of rider permitted from Jockey A. Ramana to Jockey N. Rawal on DIVINE GANGES.

Change of rider permitted from App. G. Sai Vamshi to App. Jockey P. Venkat on AL MALAWI.

AL MALAWI (APP. P. VENKAT) dwelt and lost 6 to 7 lengths. SSC revoked.

COLETTE (N.M. SEQUEIRA) jumped out slowly losing about 1 or 2 lengths.
