1st Race -- (177) The Bangalore Cup (about) 1600metres – Category II:

App. Nitin Singh (SPECTACULAR FALCON) fined Rs. 2,000/- for coming in soon after the start in the process bumping BLAACK MISCHIEF (SURAJ NARREDU) who in turn went onto BOURBON STAR (D. GNANESHWAR).

Explanation of Jockey Harish (ALCOHOLOGY) that his instructions were to position his mount behind and approaching 1400 metres his mount was keen and in trying to control he had suddenly veered out forcing out ENFORCEMENT (J.H. CHRISTOPHER) and BOURBON STAR (D. GNANESHWAR), noted.

 

2nd Race – (178) The Mumbai Cup (about) 1200 metres – Category II:

Jockey J.H. Christopher (SOUND OF NATURE) reported that his mount was hanging in throughout the race due to which he could not ride out his mount to complete advantage. Trainer L.D’Silva was advised to take remedial measures before next acceptance.

Explanation of Jockey P.S. Chouhan (LIGHT BRIGADE) that his mount was leaning back as the start was effected in the process jumped out slowly losing about 1 or 2 lengths, noted.

 

3rd Race – (179) The Mrs. Lakshmi Bhupal Memorial Cup Div. I (about) 1400 metres – Category III:

          LOCAL IKON (RAVINDER SINGH) was permitted to be withdrawn as the gelding was on medication.

An enquiry has been opened into the circumstances under which FLASH FLARES (CH K. CHARY) lost distance as the start was effected. SSC revoked.

Jockey D. Singh (FEUDAL LORDS) severely cautioned for the improper use of the whip.

Jockey A. Abhinay (TRACK RULE) severely cautioned for cutting across the field soon after the start though no interference was caused.

Jockey G.B. Khade (CELTIC SHOT) cautioned for shifting out in the straight in the process forcing out CANADIAN GIRL (APP. NITIN SINGH) at about 400 metres.

 

4th Race – (180) The Kitty Bank Cup (about) 1800 metres:

          YOUNG STAR (J.H. CHRISTOPHER) took a fly jump losing about 1 or 2 lengths.

          Explanation of Jockey Harish (CONCEPTUAL) that his mount did not respond to his urgings at any stage of the race inspite of his best efforts, noted for future reference.

 

5th Race – (181) The Chennai Cup (about) 1400 metres – Category II:

          An objection lodged by Jockey P.S. Chouhan (INTEGER) placed second by the Judge against Jockey Y.S.Srinath (POWER PLAY) the winner was overruled by the Stewards, the Judges placings remaining unaltered.

          Jockey P.S. Chouhan (INTEGER) fined Rs. 2,000/- for shifting out at about 400 metres causing interference to HURRICANE BAY (SURAJ NARREDU).

          App. R. Umesh (CLEVER PLOY) fined Rs. 2,000/- for shifting out approaching 200 metres causing interference to HURRICANE BAY (SURAJ NARREDU).

          Jockey M.F.Ali Khan (VIJAYSAMRAT) reported that his mount was hanging out throughout the race inspite of his efforts. Trainer L.V.R. Deshmukh was advised to take remedial measures before next acceptance.

 

          Jockey D. Gnaneshwar (DASH ON REGARDLESS) cautioned for shifting out at about 200 metres forcing out REALTOR (A. ABHINAY).

 

6th Race – (182) The Kolkata Cup (about) 1200 metres – Category I:

          Consequent to Jockey A. Ramana being declared medically unfit to ride, the Stewards permitted Jockey M.F. Ali Khan to be substituted on SECRET COMMAND.

          Jockeys Samuel Fargeat (ARROW OF LIGHT) and A. Imran Khan (CHAMP FOREVER) fined Rs. 1,000/- each for using the whip with excessive frequency.

          Trainer L.D’Silva was fined a sum of Rs. 2,000/- for faulty saddling in respect of his charge LANCASHIRE (J.H. CHRISTOPHER).

          Jockey M.F. Ali Khan (SECRET COMMAND) cautioned to exercise greater control over his mount in the straight.

 

7th Race – (183) The Golconda Textiles Deccan Derby 2008 Gr. I (about) 2000 metres:

          ENDURING STAR, LEON CAVALLO, OTTAWA and AHIRA were not declared to start.

 

8th Race – (184) The Mrs. Lakshmi Bhupal Memorial Cup Div. II (about) 1400 metres – Category III:

          STROKE OF LUCK  not declared to start.

          RED RIVER REBEL (SAMUEL FARGEAT) planted and lost distance. SSC revoked.

          Jockey K.P.G. Appu (SEE YOU THERE) fined Rs. 3,000/- for shifting out at about 800 metres forcing out BEAT HOLLOW (SURAJ NARREDU) and EASY FLASH (S. SHOBAN BABU) and then shift in, in the last 100 metres causing interference to BON FIRE (CH K. CHARY).

 

          Jockey Harish (LUCKY DAMSEL) cautioned for shifting in at about 200 metres in the process taking the ground of BON FIRE (CH K CHARY).
