HYDERABAD WINTER  RACES 2009-10

5th DAY, SUNDAY,  15th  November,   2009

PRESS RELEASE

1st Race – (35) The Brave Dancer Plate Div. I (about) 1200 metres – Category III:

            Jockey Deep Shanker (CABOCHON) and App. Nitin Singh (CANNON ACT) cautioned to be more vigorous in their efforts to be well up with the field in the initial stages of the race.

             INDIAN BRAVE HEART (A. RAMANA) veered out soon after entering into the straight onto the outer rail inspite of the Jockeys efforts finishing the course as such.  Trainer advised to show in a mock race.

            Explanation of Jockey Sk. Farookh (SPINTHEMALL) in the presence of Trainer Faiyaz Shaikh that his mount did not raise a fluent gallop throughout the race inspite of his efforts, noted for future reference.

            Jockey M. Mark  (THUNDER KING) cautioned to ride out his mounts past the post in future.

 

2nd Race – (36) The  Red Orchid Plate Div. I (about) 1400 metres – Category II:

            Explanation of App. Nitin Singh (GREEN VISION) that as he was instructed not to go to the front and in trying to settle down he shifted in taking the ground of CANNON TREASURE (S. SHOBAN BABU) and GRAND RAPIDS (M.F. ALI KHAN).  He was however cautioned to exercise greater control over his mounts in future.

            Explanation of Jockey R. Rupesh (PYTHAGORAS) that he was crowded for room passing 800 metres and in order to avoid clipping the front runner he had checked and dropped back, noted.

Jockeys K. Anil (STYLE IKON) and S. Shoban Babu (CANNON TREASURE) cautioned to be more vigorous in their  efforts in the final stages of the  race.

            Mr. J. Silvester, the Trainer of GREEK FIRE (M. MARK) the winner of this race was questioned for the inconsistent running of his charge.

            Jockey M.F. Ali Khan (GRAND RAPIDS) reported loss of his whip in the final stages of the race.

            STRATEGIC PARTNER (R. PARMOD) returned lame on her right fore after the race.

 

3rd Race – (37) The Soviet Star Plate (about) 1100 metres – Category II:

            RED CONNECT withdrawn on veterinary grounds.

            YAKSHAGANA (R. PARMOD) veered out passing the 400 metres 8 to 10 horses wide inspite of the Jockeys efforts. Trainer  advised to take remedial measures before next acceptance.

            Jockey Ravinder Singh (ZIGLAR) reported loss of his left stirrup iron soon after the start which he could regain after traveling few strides.

JABEL QUEEN (R. LAXMIKANTH) and KOLAR PRINCESS (S. SHOBAN BABU) trailed the field throughout the race. Trainers advised for better performance before next acceptance..

 

4th Race – (38) The Bhagmati Cup (about) 1600 metres – Category III:

            Jockey D. Gnaneshwar (GREEN MIST) reported loss of his whip at about the 300 metres 

            LEADING LIGHT (HARISH) returned lame on right hind after the race.

 

5th Race – (39) The  Red Orchid Plate Div. II (about) 1400 metres – Category II:

 

            Jockey Harish (CHESAPEAKE) fined Rs., 2,000/- for shifting out passing the 400 metres causing interference to DATING (A. IMRAN KHAN).

            Explanation Jockey M. Krishna (INDIA GATE) that he lost his right stirrup iron soon after the start which he could not regain  due to which he was forced to remove the left stirrup and was therefore unable to offer any assistance to his mount throughout the race, noted.  

            Jockey B. Shanker (GREY SHOT)  was severely cautioned in the presence of Trainer K.S.V. Prasad Raju for traveling 6 to 8 horses wide for the greater part of the race for no apparent reason.

 

6th Race – (40) The  Trade Fair Plate Div. II (about) 1200 metres – Category III:

            VICTORIOUS SALLY (SK. SHAROOKH) whilst traveling on the rail shifted out at about the 300 metres when there was insufficient room in the process clipped the heels of ATAHUALPA (M.F. ALI KHAN) racing in front and stumbled,  unseating Jockey Sk. Sharookh.  Jockey Sk. Sharookh who was given immediate medical attention has been shifted to the hospital and is under observation. Due to the above fall IKI TOMBI (App. R. Umesh) CANADIAN GIRL (Nitin Singh) and PAY DAY  (K. Anil)  had to check and change the course.

            GREET WELL (B. SHANKER) and PAY DAY (K. ANIL) trailed the field throughout the race.  Trainers advised for better performance before next acceptance.

Jockey P.S. Chouhan (ARMADA) cautioned for shifting in and forcing TRISTAR ( M. Mark) at about 900 mtrs

           

7th Race – (41) The  Trade Fair Plate Div. I (about) 1200 metres – Category III:

            PRACTICAL PHYSICS (RAVINDER SINGH) took a fly jump losing about 2 to 3 lengths.

            Jockey R. Laxmikanth (TRIGGER HAPPY) fined Rs. 2,000/- for shifting out soon after the start causing interference to QUEEN OF HABASHE (VIKRAM WALKER) and PURE MAGIC (A. IMRAN KHAN).

            App. A. Ashhad Asbar (ALBERTON STAR) cautioned for failing to maintain a straight course soon after the start

            The Stewards suspended Jockey A. Ramana (CHARGING CHEETA) from riding in races with effect from 25th November, 2009 upto 7th December, 2009 both days inclusive for careless riding in that he allowed his mount to shift in at about the 600 metres onto TRIGGER HAPPY (R. LAXMIKANTH) who in turn shifted in onto QUEEN OF HABASHE (VIKRAM WALKER) racing on the rail resulting in the latter scraping the running rail and being dislodged.   Jockey Vikram Walker who was rendered medical aid has been referred to the hospital for further medical examination.

            Explanation of Jockey M. Mark (WUWEI) that his mount was slowly off losing about 1 or 2 lengths and thereafter did not raise a fluent gallop and drifted out in the straight negotiating the final bend inspite of best efforts, noted.  Trainer advised.

            Jockey B. Shanker (ALPINE GIRL) cautioned to be more vigorous in his efforts in the final stages of the race.

 

8th Race – (42) The Speaker’s Cup (about) 1200 metres – Category I:

            Consequent to Jockey Vikram Walker  being declared medically unfit to ride, the Stewards permitted Jockey M. Mark to be substituted on SPRUCESPRINGSTEIN.

            Jockey Harish (ABOVE THE LINE) reported loss of his whip at about the 200 metres.

9th Race – (43) The Brave Dancer Plate Div. II (about) 1200 metres – Category III:

            MAN OF THE MOMENT (M. MARK) dwelt and lost 4 to 5 lengths. SSC revoked.

 

            PAMPERING (A. IMRAN KHAN) returned bleeding after the race.
